We are incredibly proud to announce that The Waves Sports Club has been awarded Best Sports Club at the Clubs Queensland & McCain Foods Awards for Excellence 2026.
This prestigious recognition is a testament to the strength of our club, our people, and the sporting community we support every single day.
At The Waves, we’re passionate about delivering exceptional facilities and opportunities for sport across our region. From our 16-acre multi-purpose Sports Complex to our continually evolving Master Plan upgrades, ensuring our venues remain among the very best in Queensland.
We are especially proud of the impact we have beyond the field. Through significant financial and in-kind support, including access to high-quality facilities, equipment, and resources, we empower our sporting community to grow, thrive and succeed.
With 14 affiliated sporting Sub Clubs and over 1,800 participants and officials, The Waves continues to play a vital role in fostering participation, development and lifelong connections through sport.
This achievement belongs to our entire community our dedicated staff, volunteers, players, and supporters who bring The Waves values every day.

Clubs Queensland Awards for Excellence

Every year Clubs Queensland hosts the annual Awards for Excellence where clubs throughout Queensland have the privilege of being nominated in a variety of awards for outstanding achievement during the year. These awards bring recognition and a certain amount of prestige to the clubs that earn them, setting the bar in standards of all areas of trade and practice, as well as overall performance.
